About
Welcome to Room 104! My name is Erin VanZee and I am in my 11th year of teaching. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and in Special Education from Creighton University (Go Jays!) and a Masters in Mild/Moderate Disabilities from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I am the mother to a wonderful little boy who keeps me on my toes, an avid soccer fan, and passionate about traveling, especially to NYC!
Our Alternate Curriculum Program classroom meets the needs of students in grades 3-6 with a wide variety of disabilities. We currently have 13 students who are working on individualized curriculum that best meets their needs. We work on academic skills, behavioral and social skills, and developing language.
We have 3 para-professionals who help to provide support in the classroom, as well as supervise through lunch and specials classes. They help to reinforce and assist students in the skills they are learning throughout the school day.
